MY style...
Even though I don't quite fit into a box or attach a label to my particular style of photography... I do understand the desire to want to give my style a description or a name. I have a deeply rooted passion to be a storyteller. Family is important to me and so is being able to pass on memories of my life for generations to come. So, my preference is to just go with the flow and capture people, places, and things as they appear; naturally, with unposed interactions and full of raw emotions. However, when sessions call for something a little more creative (or you REALLY just need me to tell you what to do with your hands!), I mix things up a little and follow a path somewhere along the lines of cinematic editorial photography, where the sessions are bold, planned (yes... dare I say, "POSED?!?"), and more stylized; with a storytelling technique to show character, depth, and style . Rest assured, no matter how your time in front of my camera tends to play out, I will always do MY best to get you to move, flow, connect, and respond in a way that brings out YOUR best!
As for my editing style... whether the trend is light & airy, dark & moody, warm, bright, no greens, saturated hues, or somewhere in between... I feel that a bold, clean, classic, true-to-life approach is the best. I prefer to give you a look that won't feel outdated in 5, 10, or even 50 years. When you look back on your photos, I want you to remember all of the vibrant, punchy details without sacrificing color or texture. Just as I like to capture the raw emotions & moments of your life, I also like to preserve as much of the raw beauty of each and every memory possible. I do provide custom photo editing (including touch-ups, color correction, cropping, black & white, etc.) to give you the very best photos possible, however, I do not provide photo manipulation or "Photoshop" options (including excessive "filters" or presets, head swaps, body contouring, sky overlays, etc.). I admire photographers and graphic designers that produce that kind of art, but I’m just here to capture the moments, not change them.
