Who’s That Girl?
My love for photography started when I was just 6 years old. My very first camera was a Vivitar 600 and I couldn't put it down! You wouldn't believe the amount of film my parents processed for me over the years! But it wasn't until 2004, before the birth of my 5th child, that I decided to take my passion and make it a career. Being a single mom was tough and I was desperate for a way to be able to provide for my children while also spending more time with them. Becoming a professional photographer was the perfect choice because it allowed me to do just that. 21 years later... I don’t regret my decision one bit. When you meet me, you'll see that I’m a purple haired, always smiling, colorfully inked, selfie-taking, black t-shirt wearing, music lovin’, can’t sit still for long, mug collecting, taco obsessed, die hard Baltimore Ravens fan adventurer… who loves mermaids, the 80’s, black & white movies, road trips, snow, all things tropical, tattoos and GLITTER. Lots and lots of glitter!! I have grownup kids, non-grownup grandkids, a small circle of amazing human beings that love and support me along my crazy journey, real life mermaids for friends, and I am definitely living the life of my dreams!!! I LOVE capturing moments with my camera and documenting everything I can along the way of my wild & crazy life. But, enough of MY story... you're here to make sure I know what I’m doing so I can help you tell YOUR story! Why should you choose me to document whatever part of your journey you're on? Well, because I’m pretty damn good at what I do, that's why. I've tried to sit down and think about the style and type of photography I offer, but I struggle. Am I just a wedding photographer? Am I a portrait photographer? Am I a lifestyle photographer? Am I a fine art photographer? The answer is... "yes." Unfortunately, though, I can't pick just one. I know I’m "supposed" to... but I’ve always been a rule breaker and wave maker that likes to color outside the lines. I know that sometimes life can get crazy... and that's OK! My life gets crazy too with 5 kids, 5 grandkids, and living a life on the road full time! I have learned to embrace the crazy and even celebrate it. Because, honestly, life can be too short sometimes. I want you to soak up all of the magical moments possible... I just want to be there to photograph them for you!
Big or small... I love every opportunity I get to pick up my camera and work with my clients to create magic. And, that magic can be pretty much anything, whether it's shooting a big wedding or an intimate elopement... capturing the birth of a new baby... preserving family memories... photographing a party or event... documenting a military homecoming... getting creative with architectural elements & classic cityscapes for the hotel designers we work with... showcasing your son or daughter's high school senior year... celebrating your PRIDE... bringing out your inner wild side during a boudoir session... or whatever else you can think of! There's no limit to the possibilities & I can't wait to see what we can come up with!
